1. Overview

CalJin AI is an AI-powered calorie tracking and nutrition management application. The App uses artificial intelligence to analyze food images, estimate nutritional values, and provide personalized meal plans based on your health profile.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use CalJin AI. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian before using the App.

3. Account & User Data

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the personal and health information you provide during onboarding (age, weight, height, gender, activity level, and fitness goals).
• Your data is primarily stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. Uninstalling the App or clearing app data will result in permanent loss of your locally stored information.
• You agree not to use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

A. Free & Premium Plans

CalJin AI offers both free and premium ("Pro") features. Certain features, including advanced AI coaching and home screen widgets, require an active premium subscription.

B. Billing

• Premium subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store and managed via RevenueCat.
• Subscription plans are available in 6-month and 1-year terms. Pricing is displayed in the App and may vary by region.
• Payment will be charged to your Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.

C. Renewal & Cancellation

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play Store → Subscriptions.
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods. Refund requests are subject to the Google Play Refund Policy.

D. Free Trial & Promotions

• If a free trial or promotional discount is offered, unused portions of the trial will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
• Promotional pricing (e.g., discounts offered during onboarding) applies only to the first billing cycle unless otherwise stated.

5. AI-Powered Features & Disclaimer

B. Accuracy of AI Estimates

• Calorie and nutritional values provided by the AI (powered by Google Gemini and Groq) are estimates and may not be 100% accurate.
• Results may vary depending on image quality, food preparation methods, portion sizes, and other factors.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.

C. Voice Input

The App offers optional voice-based meal logging using speech-to-text. Audio is processed on-device and is not stored or transmitted externally.

6. User Conduct

By using CalJin AI, you agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers.
• Upload harmful, offensive, or malicious content through any input feature.
• Share, resell, or redistribute your premium subscription access.
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the App for unintended advantage.

7. Intellectual Property

• All content, design, code, graphics, logos, and AI models within CalJin AI are the intellectual property of the developer (Manolith) and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

CalJin AI integrates with the following third-party services:

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• CalJin AI and its developer (Manolith) shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
• We are not liable for any health outcomes, dietary results, or physical effects that may result from following AI-generated suggestions.
• The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 7, 9, and 11) shall continue to apply.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
