B. Nutrition & Usage Data

• Meal Logs: Records of the food you eat, including names, calorie counts, and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats).
• Photos: Images of food you capture via the device camera to enable AI-powered calorie estimation. These images are sent to AI services for processing and are not permanently stored on external servers.
• Voice Input: Audio captured via the microphone when using speech-to-text features for hands-free meal logging. Audio is processed on-device and is not stored or transmitted to external servers.

C. Device & Technical Data

• App Usage Data: Anonymous information on how you interact with the app, such as feature usage and session duration.
• Notification Preferences: Settings for meal reminders and goal tracking alerts.
• Device Identifiers: Anonymous identifiers used by RevenueCat to manage your subscription status.

3. How We Use Your Information

5. Data Storage & Security

• Local Storage: The majority of your personal data (health profile, meal logs, progress history) is stored locally on your device using Hive, a secure on-device database. This data is not transmitted to or stored on external servers.
• Cloud Processing: Food photos and text queries sent to AI services (Google Gemini, Groq) are processed in real-time for nutritional analysis. These are not permanently stored on external servers after processing.
• Subscription Data: RevenueCat stores anonymous subscription status information required to validate your premium access.
• Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data both in transit (via HTTPS/TLS encryption) and at rest on your device.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• On-Device Data: All health profiles, meal logs, and progress data are stored locally on your device and persist until you choose to delete them.
• Deleting Your Data: You can delete individual meal logs within the app, or clear all app data by uninstalling the app or using the "Clear Data" option in your device's App Settings.
• Third-Party Data: Data processed by AI services is handled in real-time and is not retained. Subscription records managed by RevenueCat are subject to their own data retention policy.

7. Children's Privacy

CalJin AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 8. Your Rights & Choices

• Data Deletion: Delete your meal logs within the app, or remove all app data via your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

• Permission Management: Revoke camera, microphone, or notification permissions via your device's system settings.
• Opt-Out of AI Processing: Stop using the camera scan or voice input features if you do not wish to send data to AI services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
